One evening an old Iriquois told his grandson about a battle that goes inside each of us. The battle is between two "wolves" that we have inside.

The first is Evil. It's anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilty, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The second is Good. It's joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

The grandson, looking puzzled looked at his grandfather and asked, "Which wolf wins?"

To which the grandfather replied, "The one you feed."
